What is a "Special Order"?

If you encounter a "Special Order" button on the product page, it indicates that the item is not currently stocked in any of our physical stores, or you have a placed an order for a Special Order item and are waiting for an update.

Rest assured, we're committed to keeping you informed. Expect a follow-up from us within 24-48 business hours, where we'll provide you with estimated an timeframe as we receive them from the vendors.

If you're looking for an update on your order, we do send emails about them, but they tend to get filtered where you may not see them.  Here are some tips for communications from us.

1. Search your entire email for "info@worldwidecyclery.com"
2. Search - "Special Order Update from Worldwide Cyclery" as a subject.
3. Email Address - Work Email instead of Personal Email?  Many of our customers have multiple email addresses used to place orders.  Gmail, Yahoo!, Verizon, hotmail, etc.  Did you check them all?
4. Category - If you use Gmail or Yahoo! mail, check your "Purchases", "Promotions" or "Updates" sections for information.
5. SPAM - Check your SPAM or Junk folder. Sometimes, confirmation emails may be filtered into these folders by mistake.
6. Mistyped - Verify the email address you entered. If you mistyped your email during checkout, the confirmation email would not have been delivered to you.

Please be aware that for special order items, we will need to procure the product directly from the vendor before it can be shipped to you. Your account will be charged at the time of placing the order to initiate this process.

In such cases, we may opt to split your order, shipping the in-stock items first for your convenience.

However, there are instances where the vendor may experience shortages due to factors like overall supply constraints, limited editions, or model year transitions, resulting in longer-than-expected wait times.

Should there be any delay in fulfilling your order, we'll promptly reach out to you to communicate the updated ETA. Your satisfaction is paramount, and we strive to ensure transparency and efficiency throughout the entire process.
